We Keep These Things In Mind When Helping Dental Patients Get Comprehensive Treatment

Written by Dr. Brace on May 3, 2016

One of our O’Fallon dental office’s goals is to be able to handle our patients’ dental needs, from start to finish, right here in our office. By providing comprehensive care, we make it faster, easier, and more affordable for you to get the dental care you need, precisely when you need it.

Today we are talking about some of the key issues that our dentists take into account whenever beginning comprehensive treatment with one of our patients:

1. Timing matters

When we discuss possible dental treatments, we’ll talk to you about your ideal treatment timeline. If you are trying to improve your smile for a specific event, please let our dental team know! If you’ll be undergoing multiple treatments, we’ll also pay special attention to in what order we should complete these treatments. Restorations, for example, should, in general, be created and placed after professional dental whitening treatments, in order to ensure a good color match.

2. Post-treatment maintenance

Different dental treatments require different types and levels of care and maintenance after treatment is completed. Removable dentures, for example, need to be removed for special cleaning. When we create your treatment plan, we’ll talk to you about what type of post-treatment care you’re comfortable with. We can also build your treatment plan to include dental options that have similar long-term care plans.

3. Overall dental structure

We never want to complete a treatment that will undermine the overall structure or functioning of your smile, even the aesthetic results are stunning! When we build your treatment plan, we’ll make sure that every treatment honors or improves the health and structure of your mouth.
