There is nothing that our O’Fallon dentists enjoy more than helping patients to discover their best smiles. We offer a wide number of cosmetic options that will enhance unbalanced or dark smiles. Today we are going to be talking about how LUMINEERS treatment helped our patient Sharon.
Sharon is a long-time patient in our O’Fallon dentist office. She is quite fastidious about her dental health—she always takes the time to brush, floss, and complete professional dental cleanings. As Sharon got older, however, she began to notice that her teeth were looking dark despite her best efforts.
Because Sharon’s dental enamel was resistant to professional teeth whitening formulations, our dentist recommended that Sharon consider LUMINEERS. LUMINEERS are thin porcelain restorations that cover a patient’s natural enamel. This treatment option is used to correct all types of cosmetic problems, from dark enamel to misaligned teeth.
Sharon primarily wanted to make her entire smile look bright and white again. Secondarily, she wanted to make a few of her teeth appear less crooked and better aligned. Importantly, LUMINEERS allowed Sharon to achieve both of these goals with just one treatment.
Our dental team placed LUMINEERS over her dark and dull enamel in order to make her smile appear brighter and more luminous. We were then able to place a few of her LUMINEERS so as to make her crooked teeth appear straight. This one treatment made her entire smile look younger, fresher, and more balanced.
Post-treatment, Sharon was able to resume her normal routine right away. LUMINEERS do not require a lengthy recovery time, because the patient’s dental enamel is largely preserved throughout the process.
